Team success with Paralympic champion

Dubai College had an outstanding start during the first day of the COBIS games, which was held in the magnificent Olympic stadium in Athens. The girls team were dominant on the track in the morning, whilst the boys secured valuable points in their field events. Notable morning stand out performances came from Roisin Mcelligott, who beat the rest of the field by 42 seconds in the 1500m with a time of 5.07. The afternoon brought excellent performances on the track from the boys, whilst the girls continued their dominance of events in the field. George Boon had an excellent afternoon, winning the 200m, 400m and 4 x 100m. At the close of play, DC had scored 2100 points, which was 600 clear of their nearest rivals, Kings College, Madrid. The competition now moves to the swimming pool tomorrow.
